If you're reading this, then I suppose you found my diary.I would appreciate you not reading my diary and returning it to me. There's nothing you will find even if you proceed to the next page, so it's just best to look for me and give this diary back. But if you insist, I won't stop you. There's nothing remotely interesting here anyway, so this is my final warning.Don't forget to return my diary after you finished reading.Yaezakura Michiru.

My hair and eye color... are those something important—? Fine. I have red eyes and light pink, back-length hair that I usually tie into pigtails.

My closest people usually call me Michi or Micchan. I'm a hanyō or a half-yōkai; My father is a human while my mother is a flower ayakashicherry blossom spirit, to be exact. As for how they met each other... I think I shouldn't elaborate on it here. Maybe on the later pages... or maybe not at all.

People think that I'm an aloof and cold girl — which I guess wasn't entirely wrong. I could say I'm a quiet person. I have a hard time warming up to people, and I don't show many of my emotions. Quite the opposite from the traits of cherry blossoms, eh? Some of my friends called me a 'deadpan snarker' because I can be a little snarky sometimes, though I'm concerned if I ever offend people...

And that is why interacting with people is so difficult — hence I preferred to talk to plants. Thanks to my partly yōkai blood, I can speak to trees, flowers and their likeness. I think they are much easier to mingle with.Other than that, my hanyō blood also allows me to generate and control cherry blossom petals. They have a lot of use, like healing or even offensive means, though I rarely use the latter. Sometimes when I'm bored, I like to watch the dancing petals that I created.I might not look like it, but I know one or two things about kenjutsu. Dad was a kendo teacher once, so I learned from him.

Dad said that long ago, the cherry blossom tree in our backyard was an unkempt tree, back when our house was still empty. Had someone not tended to it, it would've wilt already. One day, Dad bought and lived in the house and began to take care of the tree. The tree bloomed beautifully on the first day of spring, while Dad sat on the veranda to admire the falling petals. One night when he was enjoying leisure time, he found something... no, someone. A beautiful woman stood by the cherry blossom tree, saying that she was a cherry blossom spirit — a yōkai, thanking him for taking care of the tree where she dwelled. That was Mom.They began to talk to each other, smiling, and laughing throughout the spring. Day after day, month after month......until they fell in love.Mom and Dad married, and their marriage resulted in the birth of a baby girl as the cherry tree bloomed.A hanyō, or a half-yōkai, me.Though, Mom disappeared afterward, not to be seen again — leaving Dad and me alone. Even so, Dad raised me lovingly."Our little cherry blossom... live long with your days filled with happiness." That was something Dad always told me.

I guess reality did not go too well for me. As someone who lived in two worlds — human and yōkai world, I was shunned by both humans and yōkai. When I was a kid, my classmates avoided me, calling me a freak when I spoke to the flowers. I didn't lie — I could speak to them. The yōkai were also not fond of me. They hated hanyō, as they claimed that having both human and yōkai blood could only weaken their yōkai power.Sometimes I asked myself — what am I? Where do I belong to? It felt unbearably lonely when I thought I don't belong anywhere. One day, when they mocked me again, a boy stood up for me. We finally befriended each other, despite my initial reluctance... at that time, I did not believe someone wanted to be my friend. After that incident, I could say were almost inseparable. It was a bit irritating at first, but as we spent time together, I became used to his presence by my side. I guess... I began to enjoy his company.Though, friends don't always stick together — so did we. One day, he had to move from our town, leaving me behind. The only thing he gave me before he left was this hair clip I wore, along with a promise that he will meet me again. We haven't met again ever since. I tried to brush it off, but... maybe I kinda missed him.

MIURA TAKERU & OGAWA MISAKI
Two classmates whom I befriended. We might have some personality differences, yet we still get along fairly well.

SAKAI ARATA
Just like I've told you before, he was my best friend who helped me a lot.
Fortunately, we were reunited once more after a long separation, yet I found myself holding this strange feeling toward him.
After a series of trials and tribulations, I finally realized I'm in love with him and we are now a couple since.

ANDO ISAMU
a regular ( can I even call it that? ) at our shop. It all began when he asked me for a flower recommendation, and his occupation as a trauma cleaner piqued my interest. The closest person to be called an older sibling figure, perhaps.

My favorite food is sakura mochi and onigiri, especially the tuna mayonnaise one. For the things I hate, I don't like cramped places, somehow they make me feel uneasy. My hobbies... I guess I could say I love singing and playing guitar. I also like gardening and tending plants. Other than that, I like literature — poetry, novels... sometimes I write poems too in my free time, and while not exactly my hobby, I found cooking relaxing. I joined the literature club in school.I'm bad at drawing, painting, or anything related to that. I just don't have the talent, alright? While I'm not at school, I work part-time at a garden shop.

Sometimes I like collecting cute things and somehow it feels nice when my hair is being stroked. Please ignore those statements above.
